It is now widely recognised that the presence of airborne pathogens presents a real and significant risk, especially to ill and immuno-suppressed patients. Good ventilation and fresh air are obvious factors in helping to contain this risk, but this not always possible in treatment areas where a draught free environment and a warm ambient temperature are seen as conducive to a comfortable, healing environment.
Medixair is a safe and chemical free system which destroys airborne pathogens using Ultraviolet light (UVc). Air is drawn into the enclosed unit where it is irradiated and disinfected by an array of four powerful UVc lamps. The patented technology is ideal for healthcare environments where hygiene and infection control is a primary focus. By reducing the populations of airborne pathogens, Medixair helps to reduce the incidence of infection and illness amongst patients, visitors and staff.
As with all sophisticated equipment, Medixair should be serviced and maintained to the manufacturer’s standards to ensure it operates at optimum levels at all times. We have team of fully trained engineers who will carry out a full servicing schedule, giving you the assurance that your Medixair unit is delivering maximum performance in reducing the presence of airborne pathogens.
There are two ways for you to obtain Medixair units; rental or purchase. In both cases the quantity required has a direct correlation to the price and a maintenance schedule is always necessary.
Handcare : Cartridge Systems
The Soft Care Line system consists of a hermetically sealed cartridge with and integral dosing pump and a robust dispenser. The cartridge, pump and nozzle are disposed of after 800 shots, minimising the risk of bacterial contamination.
